She explains, “For many of us, certain aspects of our local environment seem iconic for their stirring beauty, such as the wild deer, lush meadows, rich forests and riotous thunderstorms.” Knowing that a painting reaches the heart of someone a thousand miles away yet so close in this personal experience is something that adds much richness to an artist’s career.
