Pat Cross Art Reaches New Collectors in Arizona
With the Sale of Amazing Graze Original Oil Painting
This oil painting titled Amazing Graze now displays in the Arizona home of new collectors, one of which grew up in Richwood, West Virginia, a town where Pat Cross visited annually for family trout fishing trips.
“I thrill to know that my painting will be treasured by folks with deep ties to West Virginia,” says Pat Cross. She explains, “For many of us, certain aspects of our local environment seem iconic for their stirring beauty, such as the wild deer, lush meadows, rich forests and riotous thunderstorms.” Knowing that a painting reaches the heart of someone a thousand miles away yet so close in this personal experience is something that adds much richness to an artist’s career.
In this custom framed oil painting, a herd of deer gather to graze on the meadow freshly washed by a passing thunderstorm turned ablaze with evening sunset. A mature buck stands guard as his mate casts a piercing glance straight forward in alert toward the viewer. One flash of a white tail and the herd will dash into the surrounding forest. “It is by God’s grace that we are surrounded by so much beauty,” says Pat Cross, “Something I desire to capture on canvas and share with others.”
