SOLD! Original Oil Painting Titled Casting Jewels by Pat Cross at the Love Hope Center for the Arts in Beautiful Fayetteville.
The original oil painting by Pat Cross titled Casting Jewels reached a new collector recently who visited the Love Hope Center for the Arts.
In this oil painting, a fisherman wades thigh deep into the pristine waters of a mountain stream to test his newly made lure. He carefully crafted this jewel of a lure in his flying tying studio nearby and waited with much anticipation for a chance to try in the wild. Pat Cross tells of her inspiration for the piece.
“For many years, I watched my father hand make his own lures and flies,” says Pat Cross, Then he could hardly wait to try them out on the fishing stream to test his theories. “However, I think that was an excuse to get out on the stream,” says Pat Cross, “because my Dad could catch a trout on a bare hook he knew the fish so well!” Either way, this painting titled Casting Jewels certainly reached a collector who understood its meaning.
