In this custom framed oil painting, a large flock of Canadian geese take refuge at the riverside sanctuary as seasons turn, much to the delight of birdwatchers who travel from near and far to ogle the spectacle.

Our Bird Sanctuary is one of a series of oil paintings by Pat Cross on the desirability and viability of living in this small town designed by Eleanor Roosevelt and how that plays out into our modern day.

In this oil painting, the artist used all professional grade, archival quality materials and production methods. The painting on a cradled birch panel is sealed with a clear, UV protective finish for lasting impressions. The painting is custom framed in 20" x 16" solid poplar wood frame with a cocoa colored finish that brings out the hues of the painting. It is wired and ready to hang anywhere you want to be reminded of the value of our outdoor sanctuaries and the refreshing sense of adventures those bring.

This program, Eleanor’s 2020 Vision, is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Arts, Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
