SOLD! A commission to draw the Beach Street Bed and Breakfast.
When the architect saw one of my pen and ink portraits of a lodge in Florida, he commissioned me to draw his new bed and breakfast in beautiful Banden, Oregon.
He was particularly proud of the challenge inherent in the design and construction of the structure on a sand dune. So, to emphasize the significance of the site, I included the slope of the dune facing the Pacific Ocean using the texture of the vegetation to define the contours of the dune.
Pleased with drawing, he made cards and invitations featuring the piece to send to his peers, friends and guests who traveled from around the globe to stay at his B&B perched at one of the most scenic stretches of the Oregon coast.
One of a series of award-winning pen and ink drawings of architectural landmarks by Pat Cross.
