The saturated hues of autumn peer from the tender layers of the season’s first snow. To accentuate the striking contrasts within the scene, the artist juxtaposed the smooth blending of the water with areas of thick oils to create a rich texture in the snow.
The painting is made of all archival materials and coated with a clear finish for lasting impressions. The oil painting on canvas mounts in a 25" x 31" custom wood frame with molding imported from Italy that shows a warm, subtle metallic finish and black satin liner.
