"In this painting, I show each stage of development of the flower from its tender bud to the glorious maturity of the bloom," says Pat Cross, adding, "I'm fascinated by the process of growth, how it happens in phases. I find that more interesting and deeply encouraging than instant magic."
Painted on a deep gallery wrap canvas, this bloom continues around the canvas edge giving more dimension to the piece. The painting is coated in a UV protective finish, mounted into a handmade solid wood frame measuring 24" x 24" x 2" deep and is wired, ready to hang in your home, office or anywhere you want the refreshment of a wild, Appalachian spring and summer bloom.
Pat Cross uses high-quality processes and materials in each of her artworks to ensure lasting impressions for generations to come.
Rhododendron Bud to Bloom is one of a series of award-winning floral paintings by Pat Cross.
