In this drawing from a live session with a model, a skilled musician practices playing a handmade didgeridoo using a special breathing technique that produces a soothing drone. To mimic the sense of swirling movements within in the music, the artist embellished both the drawing and the frame with curled lines and shapes.
“In this drawing, I used a soft Terracotta colored conte' crayon on acid-free Strathmore paper for lasting impressions,” says Pat Cross of the medium used. The drawing, Musical Mastery mounts in a 23" tall by 19" wide wood frame wired and ready to hang in your home or office, wherever you want a reminder of the soothing salve of music.
One of a series of originals by Pat Cross drawn live from a model.
