A young boy reaches to pluck an oddly shaped stone from the shallow waters of the spring creek. This painting tells of the satisfaction gained in simple things when we invest our curiosity in nearby adventures.

Creekside Curiosity is one of a series of oil paintings by Pat Cross on the desirability and viability of living in this small town designed by Eleanor Roosevelt and how that plays out into our modern day.

In this 16" x 12" oil painting, the artist used all professional grade, archival quality materials and production methods. The painting on a cradled wood panel is sealed with a clear, UV protective finish for lasting impressions.

To view or to purchase more artworks by Pat Cross at the David L. Dickirson Fine Art Gallery, reach out to Mandy Lash, Gallery Director at Tamarack, 1 Tamarack Park, Beckley, WV 25801.

This program, Eleanor’s 2020 Vision, is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Arts, Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
