Pat Cross Celebrates the Season with an Easter Lily Oil Painting

Now Showing in Tamarack’s Juried Exhibit, Impressions of Spring.

New artworks by Pat Cross are now available at Tamarack Marketplace, including this one titled Easter Lily, an original oil painting mounted in a handmade, stoneware frame. “One way that I celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” says Pat Cross, “is with a fresh, new oil painting of something that reminds me of that event.”

However, the idea of celebrating Easter with a fresh, new bloom originated many years previously as a family tradition.

“My mother, a master gardener, planted a white lily into her backyard garden this time of year,” tells Pat Cross, adding. “So, I carry on the Easter tradition, but with a flair of my own, such as a new floral oil painting. This one is particularly meaningful to Pat Cross because of the reference she used for her painting, a photo taken of an Easter Lily in her mother’s garden the very last spring she toured the garden with her mother living.

This painting now shows at Tamarack Marketplace in the juried exhibit “Impressions of Spring.”
