Pat Cross Art Sold during the Pastel and Present Exhibit

The artwork titled Acapulco Daisy by Pat Cross sold during the opening of the exhibit titled Pastel and Present. The exhibit runs through April 11, 2024 at Tamarack Marketplace and is open to the public for both browsing and purchase of the artworks.

The jurors selected six florals by Pat Cross into this exhibition with one in particular reaching a new collector during the opening of the show. The oil painting titled Acapulco Daisy caught the eye of the buyer with its festive cheer of boisterous color and texture. “I also set the colorful floral painting in a handmade stoneware frame that accentuates the three-dimensional feel of the piece,” says Pat Cross.

“These floral paintings reflect my admiration for my mother’s masterful gardening,” says Pat Cross. “In our coffee-cup tours of her garden, she would tell of the distinct behaviors of each bloom, giving them personality,” explains Pat Cross, “So, I tribute my mom for my painting series on flowers, especially this time of year.”
