Pat Cross Art Now Showing in Appalachian Artistry Juried Show

In the Fine Art Gallery at Tamarack Marketplace

The Appalachians have long been recognized as a breeding ground for innovation and fine art crafts. “Exhibitions like Appalachian Artistry and establishments like Tamarack Marketplace help bring exposure and celebration to the traditional crafts and emerging arts found at the heart of the state,” tells Gallery Manager Gretchen Carr, adding, “while encouraging Appalachian artisans to cherish their talents.”

Many artists attest to the significant impact of support that Tamarack offers them, including Pat Cross, a fine artist working full time from her Putnam County studio. “One of the biggest challenges faced by a professional artist,” says Pat Cross, “is that of finding places to showcase artworks available to foot-traffic visitors and traveling buyers.” Tamarack excels in this through exquisite exhibitions and warmly engaging Gallery Staff.

In this exhibit, jurors selected two artworks by Pat Cross, each depicting the fine craft of angling our beautiful Appalachian Mountain streams.
