Pat Cross Art in Chromotosis Juried Exhibit

At the Gallery in Tamarack Marketplace January 10 – February 15, 2025.

The jurors selected four new original oil paintings by Pat Cross into this show where the purpose is to exhibit how “Colors bring emotion and expression to the viewer and allow resonation to occur within all who see them.” With her paintings, Pat Cross brings the full spectrum of outdoor hues indoors with oil paints on panels.

In the oil painting titled Ribbons of Color, Pat Cross stops time and the flow of a water current to study the many colors reflected in it. “I find the reflective qualities of water memorizing,” says Pat Cross, “and notice nuances that give me such a jolt of energy that I sprint into my studio to paint it.” This oil painting is custom framed in a handmade solid maple floater crafted by Jeff Lewis and adds dimension to the piece.

The exhibit launches with an art reception on January 11th and is open to the public.
