New Pat Cross Art SOLD at Tamarack Marketplace
Creekside Reflections original oil painting reaches a new collector.
The new oil painting by Pat Cross that recently sold at Tamarack is from her series of people engaging in the outdoors, such as this one titled Creekside Reflections.
In this original oil painting, a child squats along the banks of a gently flowing creek to see what lies below the reflective surface. “This painting is quite autobiographical,” says Pat Cross, “for the numerous occasions I’ve sat quietly as a child near a body of water simply observing.”
Growing up in the Appalachian Mountain region helped Pat Cross develop her aesthetic sense that she later employed in her artworks as an adult. “I’ve learned more from observing water, rocks, trees and skies than I have from any classroom,” says Pat Cross, adding, “but I credit experienced artists who teach how to use the tools of the trade for my ability to paint what I see."
This painting, Creekside Reflections is one of a series of original oil paintings by Pat Cross on people engaging the outdoors.
