New Art by Pat Cross in Simple Folk Juried Show Now Showing at Tamarack Marketplace

The exhibit, Simple Folk, now displays in the Gallery at Tamarack Marketplace until November 8, 2025.

In the oil painting Autumn Cinema, a couple rest their hiking weary legs on a wooden bench to take in the spectacular views of fall foliage. As their eyes browse the cinematic view, a mature buck steps quietly into the spotlight, the star of the show.

“The autumn season puts on quite a show here in this Appalachian Mountain State,” tells Pat Cross, adding, “So I painted a frequently told story from both natives and visitors who venture into our spectacular forests this time of year.”

Dazzling Fall color lures travelers from all over the world to West Virginia, many of them visiting Tamarack Marketplace, making it the beacon of the unique West Virginia experience of fine food, craft and memorable entertainment.
