Jurors Select Pat Cross Art into Pastel & Present Exhibit

This exhibit titled Pastel and Present features over 70 artworks in a variety of media using a more serene color palette. This exhibit runs from March 12 through April 11, 2024 at Tamarack Marketplace, and is open to the public for both browsing and purchase of the artworks.

Into Pastel and Present, jurors selected six original floral paintings by Pat Cross, each mounted in handmade, and kiln fired stoneware frame. “Each painting features a single bloom,” says Pat Cross, “that I paint as though painting a portrait. I look for the most salient qualities of that specific flower.” The titles also portray what Pat Cross calls personality traits of the bloom, such as Eye Candy Hibiscus, Misty Succulent and Acapulco Daisy.

“I made these paintings with gardeners in mind,” says Pat Cross, “who often like to collect more than one painting to display for an indoor garden that lasts through every season of the year.” So, if you seek the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, here’s your chance to see the artworks and receive concierge shopping services from the Tamarack Gallery staff.
