Long known for its brilliant beauty, the Rhododendron graces the landscape of many Appalachian homes, parks and forests. “I find the deep crimson hue of the bud equally as striking as the fully open bloom,” says Pat Cross, adding, “So, I decided to include both in my new oil painting Budding Rhododendron.”

“Whenever one of my paintings receives a strong response from my viewers, I then move forward in my plan to produce prints of the image,” says Pat Cross. "I find the musical sounds of moving water as refreshing as I do the mercurial beauty of it," says Pat Cross. The view is forever changing as the water travels, leaving ripples, waves, foam or splashes in its wake.
