TOWN OF ELEANOR 90th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBIT

Pat Cross Art Exhibit at Eleanor Town Hall for 90th Anniversary Celebration

In this special art exhibit, Pat Cross displays both originals and prints of her painting and drawing based on living in the Town of Eleanor and engaging the outdoors. Also, Pat Cross has prints available of this series which can be found here.

"I chose to live in this small West Virginia town because it is designed for a safe, active and neighborly lifestyle," tells Pat Cross.

The National Endowment for the Arts and the West Virginia Division of Art, History and Culture both awarded Pat Cross an arts grant to complete this series on her concept and now, the Town of Eleanor joins in the celebration.

The view is quite distinctive, even iconic. When Pat completed the piece, the oil painting conveyed that place much the way a
portrait portrays a person, personality and all.

Waterways Paintings

This series of oil paintings on natural waterways reveal the powerfully soothing and reflective nature brooks, rivers and tides. "I find the musical sounds of moving water as refreshing as I do the mercurial beauty of it," says Pat Cross. The view is forever changing as the water travels, leaving ripples, waves, foam or splashes in its wake.

Landscape Paintings

Here, Pat Cross brings the viewer along on an outdoor adventure. "When I hike a trail or paddle a lake, I scout for striking scenery to paint," says the artist, adding, "And I bite at the bit to share that experience with others." Pat Cross has explored some of our nation's most awe-inspiring geographies such as the Colorado Rockies, Oregon Cascades, and Appalachian Range.
