A clan of artists haul their easels out of their home studios and into the park for fresh air, inspiring scenery, and much needed comradery. Most often, the creation of an artworks requires ample solitude to focus and produce. However, the flesh-and-blood nature of each artist yearns for, on occasion, the company of their peers. This small town makes that more possible with the nearby, well-tended and safe park.

Art in the Park is one of a series of oil paintings by Pat Cross on the desirability and viability of living in this small town designed by Eleanor Roosevelt and how that plays out into our modern day.

In this 24" x 18" oil painting, the artist used all professional grade, archival quality materials and production methods. The painting is sealed with a clear, UV protective finish for lasting impressions. It is mounted in a cocoa colored solid wood floater frame, wired and ready to hang in you home, office or anywhere you want to be reminded of the value of comradery.

This program, Eleanor’s 2020 Vision, is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Arts, Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
