Pat Cross In Bosque Conservatory National Juried Show

Texas—One of the most competitive national juried shows of its kind, the 20th Annual Bosque Conservatory Art Exhibit features representational art of the landscape, human form and still life. “Of the 775 works submitted [nationally], only 99 were juried into the show,” says Sara Irvin of the Bosque, who adds, “Pat Cross is the only artist from the Pacific Northwest who has been accepted.” Other nationally recognized artists represented at the Bosque are Tony Eubanks, Bruce Greene, Xiang Zhang and Martin Grelle.

The work of Pat Cross that has been juried into the Bosque Art Exhibit, entitled The Eye is an 24” X 18” oil painting of a can-can dancer in traditional garb. “The dancer takes a brief break when, unexpectedly, someone catches her romantic eye,” says Pat Cross of Sunriver, Oregon. Accepted into Oil Painters of America, the nation’s most predominant association of representative oil painters, Pat Cross continues her focus on the Oregon landscape and human form. n
